Jeff Haifley
Coordinator

Jeff Haifley became the Coordinator of the Mesa County Meth Task Force (MTF) in August 2009. Jeff's key roles as the Coordinator of the MTF are fostering education and community awareness and collaboration with our partners throughout the community.

Prior to becoming the Coordinator of the MTF, Jeff worked for the Montrose (CO) Police Department for approximately two and a half years, which allowed him to see the devastating impact of Methamphetamine on families, youth and the community. In addition to the normal duties of a police officer, Jeff worked on a project by collaborating with local government, schools, community organizations and business and members of the community to provide resources to help meet the needs of foster children and foster families.

Jeff graduated with his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado. While attending and after graduating from Mesa State College, Jeff worked as an Academic Advisor. This was a rewarding job and provided an opportunity for him to help identify the goals of college students and community members and provide motivation and resources for them to achieve them. Jeff hopes to do the same for Mesa County in fighting against the meth epidemic.
